The Captain Spirit prequel was great, it was fun to play, managed to make it's young protagonist endearing rather than annoying (which can be difficult!) and kept you on edge thanks to the depiction of parental abuse. However, this did come at a cost in terms of characters which I'll mention in the negatives. The roadtrip vibe was fun, with a different location every episode. The main thing that kept me playing this game was that it had the same vibe as the first game, the atmosphere, the music, the nostalgic feeling, they were all present and made it all feel appropriately "life-is-strange-y". I'll go through my positives and outline my full thoughts on this in the negatives after. I thought the ending of the first game was great, I understand some people took issue with their only being two endings, one of which reversed all your previous decisions, but I have no problem with limited endings in choice-based games, however, LiS2 felt like my choices barely mattered throughout the game, not at the end (I was okay with the endings options for this game). I want to start off by saying that I know "your choices don't matter" is a huge greivance people often have with decision making games, I actually don't usually find this an issue.
